Williamsburg

We just got home from visiting Williamsburg, Virginia. For those not in the know, Williamsburg is a historical town where people are dressed up and reenacting life in the mid 1700's. When you visit you can interact with the staff and they will discuss everything from the American Revolution to the proper way of wearing a wig to making bricks. Since Tom and the older kids are in the Dominican Republic I met my parents in Cincinnati for a flight to Richmond. We saw all the major sights including Jamestown and Yorktown (Where the final large battle of the American Revolution was fought). We also saw lots of sand and rocks since this was mostly what Isaac was interested in. For the most part, everyone was good natured. Especially since we bought a cup on the very first day that enabled us to have unlimited refills on soda, cider, slushees and ice cream for the duration of our stay. What a deal!

Everywhere we went they had dress ups for the kids. This is Isaac wearing an indian loincloth at Jamestown, he is scraping a deer skin.


Grandma met up with her pirate on the seas at Jamestown. He assured her that she was the prettiest thing he had seen all day. Grandma blushed!
